AJMAQ [Bee]

ANCESTORS • PURIFICATION • CORRECTION

Today, Oxib' Ajmaq [3 Bee] is the combination of the third number and the sixteenth symbol of the Sacred Maya Calendar Cholq’ij.

There is a pure state at the origin of everything. Like nectar resting inside a flower before it becomes honey. Like an intention before it turns into action. Life begins clear, but as it moves, it gathers mixture, memory, and residue.

Purification returns us to what is essential.

So it is with what you carry from those before you. Gifts, strength, sensitivity, intelligence — and also unresolved pain, confusion, patterns that bent out of shape. None of this is punishment. It is material to be refined.

Correction is not blame. In a hive, imbalance is met with reorganization so the whole can live. When you reconnect with the clearest essence of your lineage and choose not to repeat what distorts, something evolves. What was potential becomes sustenance, like honey that feeds more than one life.

Suggested Connection with Oxib' Ajmaq [3 Bee]

The invitation is simple: spend 5 minutes connecting with your heart. Not with your thinking mind, but with your felt sense.

  1. Place your hand on your heart center—the space in the middle of your chest.

  2. Close your eyes. Breathe slowly, naturally. Five counts in, five counts out.

  3. As you breathe, imagine the breath moving through your heart, not your lungs.

  4. After a few minutes of rhythmic breathing, ask your heart—not your head—this question:

How do you sense contact with your true essence, and its desire to move more freely?

  1. Notice what arises. It might be: a word, an image, a color or texture, a sensation in your body, a knowing without words, a feeling, when your heart expand and contract. Don't force an answer. Just listen. Don't analyze. Don't judge. Just receive.

  2. Open your eyes and write down whatever came through. Share in comments are below if you will.

  3. Give thanks from the heart for this opportunity to connect with the sacred wisdom of the Maya ancestors. This wisdom is a blessing, and you have been called to receive it.

That's it. Pure essence is being touched again.

  • Notice your relationship with mistakes — your own, other people’s, those carried through your family line, and even collective or cultural errors — observing them as part of learning, movement, and human evolution rather than as something to reject.

  • Reconnect with the pure, childlike part of you that is not afraid to try, to explore, and to be authentic, sensing the original innocence that exists before judgment.

  • Observe your relationship with guilt, shame, and judgment. How they appear in your inner dialogue, in the way you speak to yourself about your experiences, in how you perceive others, and in the subtle expectations absorbed from family and society — gently recognizing these patterns as learned structures rather than as truths about who you are.

  • Recognize whether there are practices in your life that bring you back to your original essence — noticing which ones they are, how often you engage with them, and whether this connection is something that may need more space and attention.
